Dr Natalie Avery BM(2003) MRCP MRCGP

Prior to joining Stockbridge in 2007 as a GP Registrar, Natalie completed her medical training in Salisbury and Bournemouth Hospitals. Natalie joined the Practice as a Partner in 2011

Natalie enjoys all aspects of general medicine but her special interests are paediatrics and management of chronic diseases. Natalie is lead GP for the practice dispensary. 

Outside of work Natalie likes to keep fit and is often found at the gym or out cycling with her family.


Dr Gibbons

Dr Ed Gibbons BSc BM DCH MRCGP Dip Ed

Ed Trained at Southampton University Medical School, graduating with distinction. After house jobs, he went on to undertake General Practice Training at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.  He undertook his GP registrar training at Stockbridge Surgery in 2008 and also worked at Twyford Surgery before returning to Stockbridge in 2011 as a Partner.  He is one of the GP Trainers within the practice. He works one day a week as a Link Speciality Doctor in the Dermatology Department at Andover War Memorial Hospital.

Ed plays the cello with the Per Piacere Chamber Orchestra in Southampton and is currently training for a half marathon.  He enjoys spending time travelling with his family in his VW Campervan.


Dr Walsh

Dr Claire Walsh  MBBS (London 1995) MA MRCPCH MRCGP DFSRH

Claire studied at Cambridge University and Guys and St Thomas ’ Hospitals in London.  Following a year working in a rural hospital in New Zealand she trained for four years in Paediatrics.  Since 2002 she has been working in General Practice, spending the last five years in Alresford. Claire joined the Practice as a Partner in February 2012.

Claire’s specialist interests include Paediatrics and Women’s Health.  She also teaches Medical Students at Southampton University.

With three young boys, life is never dull, but she still finds time to play a little tennis.

Dr Pemberton

Dr Bridget Pemberton MBBS (London 2000) MRCP MRCGP DRCOG DFFP               

Bridget studied at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London, qualifying in 2000.  After spending 6 months working in Western Australia, she completed her medical training at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester. Following this, she undertook her General Practice training in Surrey and then spent 2 years working at Forestside Medical Practice in Dibden Purlieu.  She joined the Stockbridge Practice in October 2013 and became a Partner on 1st April 2016.

Bridget enjoys all aspects of General Practice and especially General Medicine and Family Planning.  Her 3 young children keep her on her toes but she enjoys sailing and playing tennis when she has the time.


Dr William Dougal MBChB (Hons) MRCGP

Will trained at the University of Bristol graduating with distinction. After his house officer jobs, he went to work in a teaching hospital in Perth, Western Australia. Will returned to undertake his GP training in Winchester and became a GP Registrar at Stockbridge in 2017. After qualifying he initially worked at Stockbridge and subsequently Lyndhurst before returning to the practice as a Partner in 2019.

Will is a member of the Wessex Local Medical Committee and also enjoys teaching medical students.

Outside of work, his young family keeps him busy but if time allows he enjoys playing tennis and squash.

Dr Snyder

Dr Julia Snyder BM MRCGP DFFP

Julia studied medicine at Southampton University, qualifying in 2000. She did her General Practice training at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester, and worked as a GP Registrar in Winchester and West Meon, near Petersfield. Julia is interested in all aspects of General Practice.

In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing sport and walking.

Dr Prince

Dr Helen Prince MBChB (2006) MRCGP

Helen studied at the University of Birmingham.  She completed house jobs in North Staffordshire before moving to Wessex to train as an anaesthetist.  After 3 years on the training scheme, she made the decision to change to a career in general practice and completed her GP training in and around Basingstoke.  She now enjoys working with patients in the community, whilst supporting GP trainees as a Mid-Wessex GP Training Programme Director and shaping the delivery of healthcare with a position on the North Hampshire CCG Governing Body.

Helen enjoys all aspects of General Practice but particularly enjoys general medicine and ENT


Dr Hannah Pike 

Hannah studied at The University of Sheffield before moving to Hampshire for her foundation years. She did her GP training in Winchester and completed her registrar year at Stockbridge Surgery. Following this she worked for a short time in Ringwood before returning to work in Stockbridge in February 2020.

Hannah has an interest in Palliative Care and also works at the Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover.

Outside of work Hannah enjoys cooking and dog walks.

Dr Emily Kerton

Emily studied medicine at Bristol University, qualifying in 2008. After completing her house officer jobs in Gloucestershire, she went to work in Emergency Medicine in Perth, Western Australia. Emily returned to the UK and did further training in general medicine in Somerset before changing career pathway to train in General Practice in Exeter and subsequently Bristol. Emily moved to Winchester in 2017 with her young family and has been a GP Locum in the surrounding areas prior to starting a salaried position at Stockbridge in 2020.

Emily enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a specialist interest in palliative care, also working at the Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover.​

Life is busy with 3 young children but she enjoys going to the beach and surfing as much as possible!

Dr Laura Watson

Dr Watson will be covering Dr Ed Gibbons' sabbatical from September 2020 to February 2021

Laura qualified from Bristol Medical School in 2003, and did her General Practice training in Portsmouth, finishing in 2009. She enjoys the huge variety of general practice, with a particular interest in cancer and palliative care. When not at work, Laura enjoys spending time outdoors with her young family, especially cycling and sailing.
