NHS App
The NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. You can also access NHS App services from the browser on your desktop or laptop computer. To find out more, go to nhs.uk/app.
To set up a login on the app, please use your NHS number, which you can find here: Find your NHS number - NHS (www.nhs.uk).
If you registered with us for Patient Access a long time ago, you may find that, when the app reaches the stage of linking with our practice (which is normally automatic), it asks you to contact your GP and ask for:
- Linkage key
- ODS code
- Account ID
If this happens to you, please submit an eConsult for administrative help. When you reach the question What administrative issue can we help you with? please select Other requests for documents or paperwork. We will then regenerate your linkage key and send it with your account ID to the email address you provided when completing the eConsult. Our ODS code is J82016.
If you have any other problem using the app, please go to Contact the NHS App team - NHS (www.nhs.uk).
Proxy Access
Proxy access allows someone other than the patient to access and manage parts of their GP online servcies account.
The proxy has their own online access account.
If you are the parent or carer of a child aged under 11 years old and have parental rights the easier way to set up proxy access is to complete an administrative eConsult by clicking here. Alternatively, you can telephone the surgery on 01264 810524. Please note that you need to have your own online access already set up.
We do not usually set up access for children over 11 years old because we want to ensure the confidentiality of older children. We remove any proxy access which is already set up at the age of 13 years old. If a child is in agreement that they want it to continue then a routine GP appointment is required. Children can be set up with their own NHS App from the age of 16.
If you are the carer of an adult and want to have proxy access the process is different. The person the proxy access is being set up for needs to let us know that they consent to it being set up. This can be done by sending an administrative eConsult by clicking here. or by writing to us:
